Earn Money with Google Adsense Third Party Ads

The Google content network has started accepting and displaying advertisements from qualified third-party vendors. This means that Google Adsense publishers will now have more variety of ad inventory and more ad spot competition which will help webmasters earn more money from the Adsense program.
Google suggests that Ad servers, rich media ad agencies and research firms can go through a certification process. They now have the ability to serve ads and measure performance through these certified third parties:
Advertiser ad servers: DoubleClick (DFA), Mediaplex
Rich media agencies: DoubleClick Rich Media, Eyeblaster, EyeWonder, Interpolls, PointRoll, Unicast
Research firms: Dynamic Logic, IAG Research, InsightExpress, Factor TG
They also provide some insight to allow third-party ads on your site:
1. Third-party ads are only available in image or Flash – this means if you are opting for text only unit, switch them to image+text ads so that you can get full advantage of the ad competition.

2. Third-party ads usually target specific websites – make a custom channel into antargetable ad placement. Placement targeting allows advertisers to choose specific ad placements where they’d like their ads to appear. An ad placement can be an entire website or a specific sub-set of ad units within that site.
Of course you can use the recently launched Ad Review Center to filter specific placement-targeted ads. But I suggest you give this new option a try and track using channels to see if the your Adsense ad units are now making more money online.

How to Find Adsense Alternatives Without Going Crazy


You may be thinking of using Google Adsense on your Website or Blog but did you know that you have a whole host of different options available for you if you are looking for Adsense Alternatives or ads to run in conjunction with Adsense. I will go through a list of your options and provide some statistics on each to help you in your quest to monetize your website or blog to the fullest.

    *Adbrite*

    I hate to start this off with a negative review but here we go. Adbrite's ads are not very well targeted and thus you may not get very many clicks if you choose to go with them. Also you cannot use any contextual ads (ads that look like Adsense) in conjunction with Adsense.
  2. Step2
    *Clicksor*

    Clicksor has interesting inline ads. These ads pop up through highlighted text in order to save website space, much like the ads on Ehow. The problem is that they don't always give the most targeted ads, like Adsense does.
  3. Step3
    *Bidvertiser*

    I have personally tinkered with Bidvertiser ads. These ads are not to be used in conjunction with Adsense, but as an alternative. These ads tend to make more money for you if your site is money oriented. If the topic of your website isn't money related then you will probably have better luck with Adsense.

    *Chikita*

    This is a great program if you have a website dedicated to specific products. Chikita offers banner ads with visuals of the product that will increase your visitors click-throughs. It can be used in conjunction with Adsense and the ads are targeted.

    *Adtoll*

    Adtoll is a relatively new site with a very quick sign up process. They pay out 75%, which is more than most advertising sites. This is probably due to the young age of the site. Once they get more customers then they may lower your commissions. It is worth a try.

    This is just Yahoo's answer to Adsense. If you weren't accepted to Adsense then try Yahoo Publisher Network.

    I have read a lot of good reviews for this service. They offer 65% revenue sharing, which is standard. With fastclick the average webmaster will make between $2.00 and $5.00 CPM (every 1000 page views). Therefore if you get 40,000 views per month, then you can make $200/mo.

    *CasaleMedia*

    They offer a 70% revenue sharing program. They pay per view, not per click, if you are looking for this kind of program. It is a good service for websites with a lot of visitors because of the CPM feature.

    They used to be called AutionAds which offered the viewer a quick look at certain products on Ebay. Now that it has changed to ShoppingAds, they show ads for stores that may not offer low prices like Ebay would. This hurts the amount of clicks that you will receive. This is much like Chikita, but I prefer Chikita.

    *WidgetBucks*

    Last and least, Widgetbucks is a newer service that provides you with tacky, unrelated ads. It is a newer service with lower quality ads. You can pass on this one.

Black Ink Project – A Free Online Affiliate Course

I just signed up for The Black Ink Project. It is a free online course on using affiliate programs. I usually don’t go for these types of things, but the pitch was pretty good. They weren’t saying it’s a get-rich-quick type of course, it seemed like it was very reasonable.
There will be 4 1-week modules in the course. Each module has 5 hour long sessions via WebEx conferences. After each week of sessions there is a week off to do “homework”.
Since it’s free I figured I have nothing to lose except a little time, and I might pick up some good information. There is limited space, so sign up now if you want to get in on it.
